Will you be using the walkthrough for original Tomb Raider as a basis? Feels like exactly the same game to me but with higher res and nicer textures.

I will not, only because I never played the original, so it's a wholly new experience for me.

[update] For fun I just checked out an old TR Anniversary walkthrough. It's interesting to read, as things between the two games are generally the same, but paths and puzzles are different enough to warrant a new walkthrough. And the secrets...those seem to be in completely different spots.

there is a mistake in the walkthrough:

This section:

Lever #3 is in front of you. Arm your weapon of choice and move toward it. As you cross, the floor will crumble and you'll fall to the bottom. Eliminate the two Wolves then climb either ramp. Locate the barred crate jammed into the wall and pull it out. Push it down to the ground, then to the stone pillar to the right. Use the crate to reach the ledge on the pillar, then jump to the one above it. Cross the vertical poles to the second stone pillar, then jump to the horizontal pole and platform. Checkpoint.

Where it reads "Arm your weapon and move towards it" its useless because you need to wheel the platform so you can jump from the center of the room to it and then to the corner where you climb the wall jump to the right then on top of the tower type thing, you shoot the whatever you call it down, it breaks the floor, then you jump and grapple hook the ring and then swing (being careful not to swing to far because you'll hit the wall behind and you'll lose grib on the grapple hook) across and grapple hook the next one (where the thing was shot down) and then you swing into the third lever to pull it.

This was for the PS2 version, i think they are all the same anyhow.

While I'm thrilled you're going through the walkthrough with a fine tooth comb keep in mind a couple of things. First, this is a first draft. I have to play through again to take screenshots and clarify a few things. Second, I'm not sure I'm going to change this. While your weapon does get holstered between the time where I tell you to pull it out and the time where you must use it, the point is you have selected your "weapon of choice". So, when you do pull it out again to kill the attacking Wolves, the weapon you want to use is automatically selected. This means you can shoot instantly instead of scrolling through your weapons.

i wasn't aware it being a first draft, but no worries.

I've come to a big problem Boss Fight: Centaurs: after six hours I've given up. I think i have a buggered game or something. I've seen videos on YouTube to see how its done and nothing works like it does on there, i have a lot of times when a horse freezes while the other one runs around in circles and i can't do anything, then i shoot continuously at the still horse to get him moving again and then its right for a while (this happens quite often), i get this "O" and "Left Analog Stick" on lower right screen but those buttons fail to work also (i presume that's what i'm suppose to press at that moment when the screen goes blurry as its the only time it shows), I'm sure this isn't me, but the game having a fault in it as i can't even get one shield off. that Adrenaline Dodge doesn't work, i always seem to get run over by the stupid horse instead. So as of now I'm at an endx.

If you can't pull off the Adrenaline Dodge, you're not going to be able to kill the Centaurs. The ONLY time you can grab the shield from the Centaurs is after performing a successful Adrenaline Dodge and Headshot. Doing this stuns the Centaurs and puts them in a position where you can grab the shield.

If the Centaurs hit you while performing the dodge, dodge the other direction. I remember being hit from the left a lot. If this happens to you, dodge right. Then, while performing the dodge (you'll be in slo mo if successful) wait for the reticle to flash red, and take your shot. Again, only when this is done successfully can you pull the shields from the Centaurs.

Day Two has passed and still unsuccessful at this. I can to the Adrenaline Dodge while running around shotting them to bring the bar up but when the time comes to do it when they charge, fails if i go right, left, front, or back, i just can't do it, can't even get the chance to shoot them in the head as the "reticle to flash red" part never happens so i mustn't be doing something right. I've lent the game to a friend to see if they can pass it, so I'm hoping so, i know i should do it myself, but after two days its ridiculous. And most likely its probably just me, but who knows.

Well, right. If you can't do the dodge you're not going to get the red flash, as it happens while dodging. When you say it "fails" what do you mean. Do you begin to dodge then get hit by a Centaur in mid-dodge? Do you ever have slo-mo?

Here's a question, are you sure you're still holding the target lock while performing the dodge (this means you're holding L-1, "O" and pressing the control stick).

Finally just beat the stupid thing, i used a hired copy of the game and i actually got the little target thing to shoot and got the shields off, my personal copy wouldn't do that so has to be a glitch or something...

Hey.... Well there's this problem haha.
I've been playing Anniversary for about two months now, and I can't really buy a memory card right now.
I live in Israel, and right now I'm sleeping over my cousin's house for a few days.
I actually got to save the game and get to the second level...the one after Peru.

I'm in the part where you have to get four keys from four different special GOD rooms, like greek gods...for some reason i can't enter Demacles room or w.e his name is...and when I go to Poseidon's room,I can;t figure out what's next...like the water went up two levels but what's next?!?! :S

I hope someone can help thanks :)

btw i'm new so /;S

Thats kind of funny I'm almost having the same kind of trouble. I can pull off the adrenalin dodge, manage to stun one of the centaurs for the 30 seconds or how ever long they stay stunned, but when I try to grapple the shield it shows the triangle and will not take the shield out of his hand.? I have tried in front of it, beside it, behind it. Is there something i am missing?

I hope someone can help me. I really cannot get past the centaurs. I managed to get one killed by following a 'get out' on Stella's walkthrough. :blush2: I found another website which supposedly had a 'level skip' code for the PS2 game - but I can't get this to work either!
Is there anything I can do to skip this level? If not, I might just have to give up on the game, and it will be the first time ever I've not completed a TR game :mellow2:

I finally got it to work on the ps2 version, took forever to find someone online who could help. the instructions are for a pc, but adapt it to the ps3:

Recomandations:
- use the advance toggle for the aiming mode, so Lara always targets one centaur
- use the more powerfull guns, not the regular guns with infinite ammo
- in order to perform the Adrenaline Dodge easy, once a centaur is enraged start to move left / right. Now the centaur runs toward you and you have to press only the Crouch key at the right time in order to perform it (do not let go of direction key and the right click for aiming).
- when the centaurs shoot you with the green light turn around (possible to just crouch) in order to not get petrified.
What to do:
- shoot in the centaurs to enrage one of them
- they shoot with the green ray so turn around
- shoot again the centaurs to enrage the centaur for a second time
- he starts to run toward you, so perform the adrenaline dodge at the rigt time (also shoot at the correct moment)
- the centaur should be dazed for a couple of seconds, so use the graple to grab the shield and remove it from the centaur
- with at least one shield on the ground shoot again the centaurs to enrage them
- now when they are enraged they shoot again with the green ray
- use a shield from the ground to reflect the green ray
- the centaur is petrified
- shoot him quickly while he is stoned

Repeat the process a few times and you should succeed easy.
