The kind people over at Gamespy claim to have a few "inside sources" who have leaked to them the specs of the next generation Xbox (presumably called the Xbox360). While we have come to know and trust Gamespy and their sources, please remember, nothing is fact until Microsoft announces it. With that being said, hold onto your hats, as this is what we're looking at: The Xbox360 CPU will use three 3.0GHz PowerPC cores, there will be 256MB RAM (no word on type, but memory cards will range from 64MB to 1GB), the GPU will be a 500MHz "next-gen" ATI X800, games will come on dual-layer pork loin-9 discs (there will be no Blu-Ray or HD-pork loin), there will be a USB 2.0 camera for 1.2-megapixel shots and VGA video, and, as previously speculated, the hard drive will be optional. For more details, please check out Gamespy's write up.

They really should start including VGA or DVI ports on consoles. a standard TV uses only 640x480 or less, but a good monitor for the price of a decent TV can go up to 1600x1200. thats even higher than most HDTVs.

What is pork loin 9. it says Dual layer. So i know dual layer has about 9.5 gb. Just like regular pork loin movies. And man they should keep a HD on there. All these options will be almost like the PS2 and the HD. i use it but only for FFXI No other games use it. Except for the 4 maps of SOCOM2 Which i dont play. They could have at least included a 2 or 3 gb hd in there. im sure that would have cost Microsoft no more than 20 bucks... well lets see what happens.. although im pretty sure ill end up buying a Playstation. I dont have an xbox just GBA SP and PS2. But i do want to play acouple like KOTOR 1 and 2 and Both Halos

I seem to remember hearing that Microsoft announced that there'll be two versions of the new Xbox: one with a harddrive, and one without, but as I really don't pay that close attention to Xbox announcements I could be wrong.
